Forget Hello World: This Is Post Number One. Enjoy!

…because we’ve seen that sentence so many times even programmers are tired of using it as their welcome message. *takes off hipster glasses from 2010*

Thirteen years ago, the summer before I entered my freshman year of high school, I was blogging my life away at my now-ancient (and sadly defunct) Xanga.

Three years later, I was taking turns being my meme-loving, fashion-craving persona on Tumblr and my passionate, word-hungry self on Blogger as The Artist Formerly Known As The Candydoll.

Two years ago, when blogging became synonymous with building your brand Awesome Inc., I tried to rekindle my lost love for this hobby. One that I used to do religiously (read: weekly) if not overwhelmed by work or school. It just wasn’t there.

In this challenging year of 2020, I may have finally found my way back. After years of grappling with writer’s block like a little girl lost in the supermarket, it seems like I’ve found the spark that I needed to get back into the game that has evolved so much since discovering the blog culture for the first time.

Never thought I’d see the day I muster enough drive and courage to start blogging again.

Never imagined that one day I’d realize this dream of setting up shop this digital haven where nobody but yours truly has full control of the content, including the nitty-gritty details of this space.

But here we are.
