I realized two days remain in October.
This month started off extremely busy to the point I had to put a weekend off. Supposedly, I’d spend the first weekend of October IKEA-shopping for my workstation.
It didn’t go exactly how I envisioned.
When you work from home, it can be fun because you get to work at your own pace and schedule. Homecooked meals are also a plus because you unleash your inner chef and you try to eat healthier.
McDonalds fries are so yesterday.
But it’s not without their drawbacks, too. Being at your home office prompts the increased need to resist procrastination and laxity. Work with the Mario Kart theme on loop and a cup of black coffee — some secrets to fight it off.
Now just so we’re being clear about Mario Kart. I only learned this work and study hack from this now-viral TikToker who claimed she finished half of her 1000-word essay in under an hour.
Then there were Netflix parties of play adaptations and Studio Ghibli films somewhere in the month. Kiki’s Delivery Service, as I’ve learned, is an allegory of our teenage years.
The highlight of this mysterious month, however, is fulfilling my teenage dream of launching my own website. Raw and unfiltered, built from the ground up, what I always wanted it to be.
Let’s end this post by asking one final question.
Was there even an October to begin with? You be the judge.
